Happy Sunday! I really love this note although I wish it said 💙 Me. What a wonderful mind shift! We are at the end of Westbrook's first year. Take a second and put yourself back at this time last year. Most of you knew you were going to Westbrook. You were feeling the emotions of leaving a place you knew and taking a leap toward something unknown. Phew! What a year it has been! We totally did it. We made it through our first year and quite frankly, we rocked it. (I know, I always say that.) We have built an incredible community, a positive culture and a pretty great place to work. We are also doing everything we can to support students. It is so fun to be apart of. Now, the preparation begins for next year and I am looking forward to every minute!  Community Thank You : This Friday, May 3 from 5-8pm. It is going to be a really fun event and I hope you will be able to come for a bit. I need you feedback on the booths. Do you have parents taking care of them? Do you need help? I s

Happy Sunday! This picture hadn't made the blog yet and I thought today was the perfect day. Our school photographer will also be doing a whole school picture for us. I will share the date soon!  We are on the home stretch of our first year. I cannot believe it. In my opinion, things have gone pretty darn well and things will only get better from here. We are adding quite a few staff members and students next year. I am already planning our relationship building for August. If you have any ideas or favorite things we have done, please share!  Move-A-Thon Store!! Here are the details: Starting Tuesday April 23rd we (PTC members) will come and gather the top 10 earning students and 3 red ticket (Mojoes raffle winners) from your classrooms from 1:00-1:40pm to give them the first choice to shop our amazing store.   Happy Sunday! Whew, what a week that culminated with a super fun Move A Thon! I love watching these events come to fruition. I also love that we are making each event our own. Someone commented on our Instagram saying 'Of all the schools I've been involved in, Westbrook is on a whole other level.' I have not stopped thinking about it. Personally, I do think that each of our events have been amazing, but not because we spend a lot of money or because we do crazy things. I truly think it is because of the tight knit and positive community we have built. Everyone loves to come be apart of all of these fun events. My goal is that the kids walk away from Westbrook remembering all of the people who loved them and all of the fun things we have done. We are on the right track! Thank you to all of you for being part of it.  I just looked at my post from last week and saw that the eclipse was on Monday. Holy Cow! Last week was a WEEK! I kind of thought the eclipse was last month. H

This was the image that popped up when I put in my search for the family blog and I feel like you deserve the same image. This scene puts a smile on my face every time!! The search was 'try to keep up' because we all know this time of year is crazy. I knew it was crazy, but somehow I feel like I wasn't prepared. Ha!!  This week we have our big push for the Move a Thon donations! If you follow Westbrook PTC or Westbrook on Instagram, there is a fundraiser link you can share on your own Instagram. We are hoping to make this fundraiser a HUGE success!!  There are so many things happening this week that I am going to try to keep the blog simple but also include as much information as possible. I also ask that you check out the family blog post as well. There is a lot of information in it this week.  All Week: Book Fair Online Book Fair Access Volunteer Sign Up Monday: Solar Eclipse In regard to the day of the  eclipse , the  eclipse  begins around 10:14am, the peak is at 11:1

Welcome back!! Phew! I hope you were able to fill your bucket and take care of yourself this last week. We need to come back rested and ready as we know this run until the end of the year is fast and furious!! Many of you know I spent my spring break on a mission trip in Mexico. If you saw me leading up to the trip, you know I was pretty stressed about it. The week before Spring Break was a bit nutty and what I really wanted to do was sit on my couch. Ha! But I knew I needed to go, so I made it happen. Well, as expected, there are not words to describe how incredible it was. My bucket is full!! That is for sure! I can't wait to share stories!! It also means that I am going to be digging myself out of laundry and catch up until the school year is over, but it is worth it!  Elementary- April 1, 2024 PD Information Please see below for agenda details location for the April 1st PD Day: 8:00-11:45 will be sites collaborating together at the locations listed below 8:00-10:15 Cycle PD R
