This was the image that popped up when I put in my search for the family blog and I feel like you deserve the same image. This scene puts a smile on my face every time!! The search was 'try to keep up' because we all know this time of year is crazy. I knew it was crazy, but somehow I feel like I wasn't prepared. Ha!!
This week we have our big push for the Move a Thon donations! If you follow Westbrook PTC or Westbrook on Instagram, there is a fundraiser link you can share on your own Instagram. We are hoping to make this fundraiser a HUGE success!!
There are so many things happening this week that I am going to try to keep the blog simple but also include as much information as possible. I also ask that you check out the family blog post as well. There is a lot of information in it this week.
All Week: Book Fair
Monday: Solar Eclipse
In regard to the day of the eclipse, the eclipse begins around 10:14am, the peak is at 11:13am, and it ends about 12:16pm.
You should have received glasses for your class and yourself.
Here is the plan:
1) Students should wear the glasses whenever they are outside the classroom. Time outside the classroom should be kept to a minimum.
2) All recesses will be inside.
3) 11:05 AM- Any class that wants to look at the eclipse will walk out to the blacktop just like we do for a fire drill. Everyone will have their glasses on the entire time. By the time everyone is on the blacktop, it will be close to the peak. After viewing the eclipse, classes will return to the classroom.
Tuesday: MoJoe's Scoop Night from 5-9pm
Friday: Move a Thon
I feel like I probably missed a lot of other things but my brain feels very full and this is what we get. Have a great week!
April 9: MoJoe's Scoop Night
April 12: Move-A-Thon
May 3: Community Thank You from 5-7pm
May 16: First Responders Day (This is in the works, but it is going to be a very cool day for our students.) I will share more info as I have it.
