Happy Sunday! This picture hadn't made the blog yet and I thought today was the perfect day. Our school photographer will also be doing a whole school picture for us. I will share the date soon! 

We are on the home stretch of our first year. I cannot believe it. In my opinion, things have gone pretty darn well and things will only get better from here. We are adding quite a few staff members and students next year. I am already planning our relationship building for August. If you have any ideas or favorite things we have done, please share! 


Move-A-Thon Store!! Here are the details:

Starting Tuesday April 23rd we (PTC members) will come and gather the top 10 earning students and 3 red ticket (Mojoes raffle winners) from your classrooms from 1:00-1:40pm to give them the first choice to shop our amazing store. Please note, if any TK students end up being top earners we will gather them before their 12:42 dismissal. We will reach out on Monday to announce the top earners in case their parents would like to join them when they shop.

The store will then officially open to all remaining participants April 24th, April 25th and April 26th. We have created a schedule similar to the book fair where you will sign your class up in a time slot of 25 mins. In your desired time, please bring your whole class to E7 where we will line the students up outside, hand them each their earned tickets (1 ticket per every $25 earned) and have them enter the store to shop for their prizes as you would at a Chuck E. Cheese. 

We have extended our fundraiser to this Sunday as we are SO CLOSE to meeting our $60,000 goal. Please encourage your students to donate as every penny counts! Snowie Delite is coming Friday April 26th 1:30-2:00pm exclusively for the 1st place class winners and then stay after school 2:00-3:00pm for anyone else interested in purchasing a snow cone.

Also if/WHEN we meet our $60,000 goal, Mrs. Brooks is more than willing to provide some solid entertainment for the kids...might even wear 49er gear for a day TBD.

Those three winners will get to shop first with the top earners.

Also, this is the current situation!! We have until the end of today to hit $60k!!!

Community Thank You: Next up is the Community Thank You on May 3rd! We have many high school volunteers ready to go! This will also be a very fun event. We will have food trucks and because the craft and maker fair had to be postponed due to rain, we will have these vendors in our parking lot, the night of the event. It is going to be epic!! 


ROCK Assembly: Our ROCK assembly to recognize kind students is this Friday. 
We will stick with our new times-
TK-2 8:30-9am
3-5 10:10-10:40am

Upcoming Dates: 
May 3: Community Thank You from 5-8pm
May 16: First Responders Day (This is in the works, but it is going to be a very cool day for our students.) I will share more info as I have it.

  Happy Sunday! This week we have our first assembly recognizing our Resilient students. I cannot how happy it makes me to hear students talking about what it means to be resilient. This is such an important trait I hope to grow in our students at Westbrook. All of you are the perfect examples to lead the way as you have demonstrated such resilience in the opening of Westbrook. Another thank you to all of you! The Assembly will start around 10:10am. Some grade levels will be coming straight from recess. Let me know if you have questions about the process of the assembly. I know it will be new for most of you. This is what I put in the family blog but I want to share it with you, as well!  Happy Sunday and Congrats to all of my Niners Fans out there! I am bummed we did not pull of the upset but it was a great game. The Packers made some big mistakes at the wrong time, but that goes to show you, we all make mistakes even if we are paid an astronomical amount of money😂 I have to say, I loved so much of the game. I loved (and hated) how close it was. I loved the history of Shanahan and LaFleur. I also enjoyed hearing how the coaches trusted their young quarterbacks.   Happy Sunday! I had to start the blog off with this quote because people with a positive outlook can achieve incredible things and when positive people find positive people the potential is immeasurable. This is the way I feel working with you each day! For example, I started a teacher group text and was a bit nervous. In my experience, a group message can sometimes provide an opportunity for negativity to seep in. Well, my heart is so full with the positivity in our group so far. And thank you Tracy for ripple message. It is so true. We continue to do great things and can only hope that inspires other schools!  We will be adding a lot of new teachers next year and need to keep this at the forefront!
